Our Mandate
Having been commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel “unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8) we will by God’s grace strive to evangelize our area and prayerfully partner with missionaries and church planters through the proven and effective Faith Promise plan to have a part in evangelizing the world. We enjoy hosting an annual Missions Sunday/Month that includes guest missionaries and church planters.
Some of our Local Outreach Opportunities
- Groton Outreach is a systematic outreach program. Our goal on Saturdays is to go into our neighborhood with Gospel literature, a Gospel witness, including a friendly invitation to church.
- Prison Ministry is at the Federal Medical Center in Ayer, MA. FBC is permitted to conduct a chapel service on the premises for one hour on the second Friday night of each month. We look forward to singing Hymns, prayer time, and teaching a helpful Bible lesson.
- Grotonfest is an annual event that is represented by the town’s profit and non-profit organizations including churches for an entire day in September. We are given a 12′ x 12′ space to display our ministry. Grotonfest lends an opportunity to meet the public, to present our church and ministries to hundreds of townies, and to give-away Gospel literature including small gifts.
